Hi friends, family, colleagues and generous strangers. We all have mums. They carry us for 9 months and then they become our nurse, our chef, our maid, our biggest fans, our teacher and our best friend. They struggle for us and cry over us. Most of us take our mums for granted. Unfortunately our good friend Billy Stairmand's mum, Anita Stairmand, has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She has a good chance of surviving if she gets the treatment she needs. Anita is a mother of 3 boys , 1 girl and is a fun loving beautiful lady. Family friend Jess Santorik has kindly donated a beautiful surfboard carving for the fundraiser worth over $2000. Any amount you donate to this cause will put you in the draw to win this carving, even if its only $1 dollar. For those who really want the board or are just willing to give a bigger donation will get 1 entry for every $10 donated. If you donate $20 you go in the draw 2 times, $30 = 3 times, $40 = 4 times etc. The draw will happen in early December down at the Yot Club in Raglan. More info will follow closer to the date. This is a non-profit fundraiser and all proceeds will go directly to Anita's treatment. We have set a modest target but am aiming to raise as much as we can. Anita is struggling to afford treatment, living costs and looking after her young boys. Billy and all the family greatly appreciate any way that you can help. October is also NZ Breast Cancer awareness month so get behind a deserving woman in need. Arohanui.
