Your Donation is needed in kickstarting a new community education initiative in collaboration with Waukesha Students and La Casa de Esperanza. This project will send motivated students to Ecuador on a journey of community service that starts in Waukesha and extends out to Ecuador in the culmination of a community development project.

Service Learning for this initiative is based on creating an educational experience that will allow students to: assume leadership roles, interact in the international community, transfer skills into real world experience, learn spanish, and learn/implement eco-practices. The whole exchange will be complete by giving the students a platform to demonstrate the progress achieved through this project. This stage will be provided by La Casa de Esperanza at Fiesta Waukesha in June 2013.

La Casa de Esperanza will work in collaboration with students to complete the exchange by hosting a group of Ecuadorian artists to perform cultural customs in the form of art, dance and music. Students will take part in a native cultural performance alongside our new Ecuadorian friends. We know that travel changes lives and everyone involved in the project will learn how to serve the community and celebrate diverse cultures.

We need your help in order to make this project work. Please donate all that you can. To thank those who donate $10 or more you will be entered in a drawing for your choice of an authentic Ecuadorian Panama hat or an artisan hammock.
