Hiteon Elementary readers need your help. Our K-3 readers are working to increase their decoding and phonological skills, fluency, and time-in-text with "good fit" leveled books. Having "good fit" books helps striving readers to develop confidence in themselves and know that they ARE a reader. Our K-3 classrooms are in need of more "good fit" leveled books particularly at the IRLA yellow and green levels for our striving readers. Our readers need more access to titles that are of high interest and representative of our diverse community. We want to help our readers by building a library of early level "good fit" books that captivate our striving readers' attention to help them increase their stamina, time-in-text and reading skills.

Beaverton Education Foundation, Beaverton's Choice, Crowdfunding for Innovation in Beaverton Schools

Beaverton’s Choice is an online crowdfunding platform available only to BSD staff. All funds raised go directly toward the project! BEF funds projects in every school in the Beaverton School District.

Founded in 1988, the Beaverton Education Foundation raises money to provide hands-on innovative academic enrichment and advancement programs & projects that go beyond normal school funding at all Beaverton public schools and is a 501(c)(3) community-based nonprofit organization. BEF mobilizes community resources to fund innovative classroom projects, summer and after-school programs.
