I am Melinda and Sarah, and we are two passionate, highly skilled Registered Nurses heading to Lesvos, Greece to lend a hand to the incoming refugees.

Lesvos is experiencing a humanitarian crisis. People are fleeing their homes to find safe refuge in Europe, and their whole journey is filled with danger. Aid organizations and the Greek government are unable to cope with the 125,000 people arriving monthly.

100% of your donations will go directly to the refugees.

We are self-funding all personal costs including flights, car rentals, petrol, accommodation and food.

When people land on shore after their long journey, they can be hypothermic, dehydrated, exhausted and scared. With our medical skills, we will urgently be needed on the north coast, providing treatment for hypothermia, dehydration and drownings.

Your funds will go to:

1) Emergency Medical Supplies - Dehyrdration: Dehydration is a killer. We will be buying water, oral rehydration salts, and oral syringes for child refugees as they come off the boats.

2) Emergency Medical Supplies - Hypothermia: Sometimes coming over in dinghies, refugees are exposed to the elements and often travelling at night-time when the wind and rain are ferocious. We will be buying blankets, dry clothing (socks, underwear, trousers, hats, gloves, shoes, sleeping bags, tents) and emergency foil blankets to bring body temperature back to normal.

3) Emergency Medical Supplies - Medical Supplies: Medical needs can be complex and acute. We will be buying medicine, first aid kits, wound dressing packs and simple pain relief.
