Hattie is a wonderful dog, we rescued her on the 23rd September 2002. She had been treated badly and was a complete nervous wreck. Time has flown by living with this little beauty and we have had many years of fun, love, attention, playing and generally living with a thoroughly nice dog. She is now approx 13 years old. She has liver disease which we keep a very close eye on and she is on A lot of medication, that alone costs a small fortune! Sadly she also has severe arthritis of the spine, and because of her liver disease she is unable to receive any painkiller and the vet has informed us she is quite uncomfortable and in pain. Through his recommendations we have just started a course of acupuncture for her, and it appears she is doing very very well, much more movement in her back legs and she is much happier in herself. The downside is this treatment costs £55 per week, and along with all her other medications , special diets etc, this truly lovely dog is proving a lot of money to keep, which I do not begrudge a single penny but times are very hard, I am selling anything and everything on ebay to bring in extra funds. A dear friend advised that we set up a donation page for our lovely Hattie, any donations received will be going straight to the vet at the acupuncture clinic and I will make regular updates on how she is doing. We are hoping , in time her accupuncture sessions will be less frequent but right now she really needs them regularly to get her out of the pain that the poor little love has been masking so well. Love her Anything for our beloved Hat:-) Thankyou for taking the time out of your day to read.
