The Living Positive Resource Centre is asking for help in funding the start up costs for our World AIDS Day Art Gala. The more money we can raise for our operational costs, the more funds we raise for our cause! More ...

On Saturday, November 29th, 2014, the Living Positive Resource Centre (LPRC) will be hosting an Art Gala fundraiser for World AIDS Day. As an important day for reflection and discussion of the reality of HIV/AIDS, it is paramount that the Okanagan community takes part in the commemoration. The LPRC’s Art Gala will take on this role by first, raising awareness and reducing stigma of HIV/AIDS, and second, by raising money to be used for the LPRC’s emergency relief fund, in place to help those in the Okanagan at risk of or living with HIV/AIDS and HCV.

We are contacting you today because we are having difficulty securing cash sponsors, which are vital to cover the start up costs of the event and maximize funds raised. For this reason we are asking individuals to donate to our cause and help us raise as much money as possible. Please help us bring visibility and practical resources to those at risk of and affected by HIV/AIDS and HCV.

Thank you for taking the time to read our request, and we sincerely hope that you will donate whatever you can, in any capacity. Additionally, if you are a business owner, your donation can be considered a sponsorship, where your business will be afforded marketing benefits. If you are interested in this option, please contact Mandy at

*Tax receipts are available upon request.

Thank you!
