I am in Tanzania to help where I can, the focus of my work tends to be around children and alleviating poverty where possible. In the course of this journey however I have been unable to ignore the countless suffering animals domestic/semi wild and wild alike!

People haven't the resources or education here to deal with animal welfare in an adequate way. I aim to change that, slowly but surely.

Dogs and puppies are frequently abused here, and or starved and ultimately suffer needlessly. Those that roam semi wild still go hungry as there is simply nothing for them to hunt or scavenge....

This year I have taken in 11 puppies! Sadly 3 of which passed away as they were malnoursihed after their mother could not feed them due to lack of available food! The all have there own stories, each as sad as the next yet they all have a happy ending, in as they are now under the care of this project, KAR "Kilimanjaro Animal Rescue." There are countless more dogs and pups suffering all around me, I hope not to have to turn any away, but without the adequate setup and finance, I will have to do so at times.

So long as I continue to get support for the puppies/kittens or what ever else comes my way! I will continue to give any and all that come my way a good home where they are cared for and loved. In the future we hope to use some of these puppies as emotional support animals for special needs children, and some persons with in my HIV/AIDS outreach also, its a long way off, but i believe can help change the way human/domestic animal relations are addressed in Tanzania.

For now the priority is keeping this lot healthy and cared for! To do that we need food, meication, and (salary £10 per week) for a member of staff to care for them whilst I am busy one of the many other projects I have running in and around Uchira!

If this fund raiser is successful I can ensure that our existing and any other dogs or pups in need of our help will get it.... without it many animals in the area can and will suffer without reason....

Thank you for looking, Much love from John and the pups :) x
