Wanda Williams hasn't added a story.
"What doesn't kill you...only makes you stronger" This is Noah's story written by AlbiiNia Chanel. Rock (now known as Noah) was dumped at Rowan County Animal Control (Salisbury, NC) several months ago. He was nothing but skin and bones (3 pics on the left). He was chained on the back of the truck. His owner said he had fatally injured a puppy and he just didn't want him anymore. It was a day all of us were at the shelter. I remember asking him, "well when's the last time you fed the dog?" We had offered him everything from money to food to keep him. He said he had just gotten another puppy that morning and just couldn't take care of them both. Go figure. Old man Rock just looked at us with those beautiful eyes and he jumped in my lap and gave me kisses. We promised him then we wouldn't let him die. No gas chamber for him.
Before we knew it, his "last day" at the shelter had come and he was still there. He was "adopted" by a no good person who then used all of us for every dime we had. She lied about him having parvo. A few weeks after that, her stories changed once again and she was going to dump him back at the shelter. Once again, we stepped up. A good friend of mine agreed to foster him until we could find another home for him. She has 3 other dogs and Noah has shown no signs of aggression. Another good friend offered to sponsor Noah. With everyones help, we were not only able to treat his heartworms and get him fully vetted; but he now has a big outside kennel to stay in as needed. He has it all now. Unfortunately, our sweet man suffers from anxiety and he doesn't like to be alone. He tears things up and breaks out of his crates. We have tried for months to find him a home and nobody has come for him. Our last chance for our boy is sending him to a trainer that not only trains, but rehomes as well. I'm hoping this will be exactly what he needs. I am also hoping that after the training his "fur-ever" family is waiting just around the corner. He is such a great dog and he deserves so much more than we can offer him.
To send him to J. Hoffman's Dog Training Facility in Wisconsin, we need $700 plus another $100 for transport. In total, we need $800 for Noah. We will start raising funds now. He will be transported in about a month and a half. That's how long we have to raise the money. If you can, please donate. Any amount will help. Please share. This is our last chance for our boy, Noah ❤
