1 in 12 African Americans has Sickle Cell Anemia. Lets make sure that people are aware of what the disease is, how to be tested for it, and how to live with it.! For more information please email me at

I have for the past 5 years made a contribution in some way to Sickle Cell Anemia Awareness and want to do the same this year HELP me! I am the mother of twin boys who have SCA and the cousin of a college student who lives with Sickle Cell Anemia and the niece of an uncle who died of sickle cell in the 1980s and the friend of so many people who live with this disease every day. September is Sickle Cell Anemia Awareness Month and it is imperative that every year I set my goals higher. There is research going on that is close to a cure for this disease and while there are many other blood disease that have more national recognition, SCA is one that affects my friends and family and possibly your friends and family as well and deserves to be recognized. I want to raise money to help get people knowledgeable and tested for SCA trait. Also, how to live with and manage the disease and live a health life. Life is not always a pain crisis but when it is you want to know you have something that’s there to ease your pain. Help me HELP! 100% of proceeds will be donated in Jeremiah and Josiah Gore's name to Piedmont Health Services and Sickle Cell Agency!
