Hi Everyone!

Whitefly Productions needs your help to bring their short film, "DUG" to life.

Almost two years ago, after receiving a little inspiration from Scott Johnson, Marc set out to write a short scene, centered around two men burying a body in the middle of the desert. Thirty-six hours, twenty-three pages and no sleep later, we had the makings of a nice little short film, with a plan to film it for four days, Guerilla Style in the fall of 2012.

Some unexpected things happened next. Blanca, our co-producer was involved in one car accident, setting us back a bit financially. Then Marc landed a role in a feature film that took him to Hungary for three weeks. Then Blanca got into another car accident, this time totalling her car, sending us into some even harder times financially and emotionally. Marc was in a business where "free time" was the 15-minute drive to, and from work. And if you need one thing to make a film, it's free time.

Which brings me to my next point: You need more than just free time to make a film.

You need people. People like George Tataje, who will operate a boom mic from the trunk of a car on a stuffy, hot summer day, no questions asked. People like Blanca Gomez, Scott Johnson and William Johnson who would happily do this for free if they could afford to do so.
You need equipment: Cameras, Lenses, generators, microphones, tripods, shoulder mounts, car mounts, etc.
You need to be able to provide food and transportation for the cast for x-amount of days. (In our case, 5 days.)
Props, make-up, lights, costumes, post-production, etc.

It takes more than just time.

We need your financial support to help us make this production as professional and efficient as possible.

If you decide to help by donating:

$1-$19 - Our eternal thanks and a video shout out by a cast or crew member.

$20-$49 - The above, plus a DVD copy of "DUG."

$50-$100 - The above, plus a "DUG" T-shirt and the original script signed by the cast.

$101-$500 - The above, plus an associate producer credit. (If you live in Los Angeles or are visiting during filming, you are welcome to visit our set.)

$501 or more - You deserve more than what we can give you, but we'll think of something.

I've attached two links to scenes we've shot. These scenes are meant to give you a taste of who these characters are, and also to show the style of filming. These were done with hardly any money, and no crew. Think of what we could do with your help!
