Who is Alli-Mae?

All-Mae is a Pit Bull, but she is also a TDI certified Thearpy Dog. She has been to Boston(after the bombing happened) Atlanta, Virgina and all round CLT NC! Sharing the love for a TDI Pittie! Giving those hope or had lost all there hope.

What Happened?

Alli-Mae was a victim of a careless driver, and was hit by a car. We were enjoying a nice long horseback ride, when a car came out of no where, the car did not stop nor even slow down-This happened on a private country dirt road. Unfortately we were unable to get the plates.

The vet was stunned and in disbelief that Alli-Mae's injuring were not worse and called here a 'Miracle Dog'

We have been trying to raise money for this and than were hit with another issue.

A month after the accident we notice a skin growth we throught was a skin tab, but had it removed 11/15 and had the results on 11/29 that it was a skin cancer.

The results showed 2 different issues. Skin cancer-Mast cell tumor, and also Canine Herpesvirus (in a deferenate spot she had a skin graph done). While the vet has stated all of it has been removed from what they can tell. But Alli is still at risk of getting it again-

While as they stated it is all gone there are medicines she will have to take for the rest of her life and she is AT RISK of getting it again.

If you can even spare even a $1, $5 or $10 we would be extremely greatful!

We also have some perks to help us reach our goal.

Alli Mae's Full Story: From Birth Till Now.

Alli-Mae is a blessing hidden under a lot of bravery. She and her 15 brothers and sisters (aka tag #’s 6729-6745) were rescued just 2 hours after their mother was PTS and only an 1 hour before these pups would have lost their sweet life. While this is a long story it is the story of the past 2 years and 4 months of Miss Alli Mae’s life...

As we got the pups at a mere 2 weeks old, we spent hours and hours of time feeding them and nurturing them. They were all healthy with no issue besides Alli-Mae being the runt. She only weighed 7.3lbs at 8 weeks old and with multiple trips to the vet they didn’t know what was wrong. We kept Alli-Mae and tried to nurse her to health with no intents on keeping any of the pups. They all found loving homes!

Alli-Mae at 9.6 weeks came down sick and we rushed her to the vet who told me she had parvo and suggested putting her down. We didn't. Instead, she spent 9 days at a different vet and was released parvo free. At 4 months old Alli came down sick again, she not only got parvo again but had mange and worms (no fault of our own). We went to vet after vet, all telling me that I was wasting my money. Finally, we found a vet 3 hours away to keep and treat our pup. Being 3 hours away we could only see our baby on the weekends and it was so hard to deal with. She was released 16 days later. She was so small and weak. At 6 months old here brothers and sisters weighed between 32-40 lbs, Alli barely weighed 20lbs.

Months and weeks of caring for Alli and we got the best news on her 1st birthday, an A+ on her report card, no health issues and she weighed 35lbs! We had her tested and certified as a TDI dog She traveled to children's hospitals and hospice and some days she would just lay down and not want to leave. She has traveled to Boston (after the bombing), Atlanta, Virginia, and all around North/South Carolina. She has also received AKC S.T.A.R Puppy, AKC CGC, and AKC Community Canine!

On September 20th, 2013 two months before second birthday, Alli-Mae fell victim to a careless driver, and was hit by a car. We were on a private dirt road with the speed limit of 15 mph the car, but the car was going at least 45 and after hitting Alli, they sped off. The vet was stunned and in disbelief that Alli-Mae's injuring were not worse and called here a 'Miracle Dog'. After MRIs and x-rays, the vet was confident that Alli would heal 100%.

A month after the accident we notice a skin growth we thought was a skin tab, We had it removed on 11/15/2013. The results showed 2 different issues; skin cancer-mast cell tumor, and also Canine Herpes-virus (the skin tab). While the vet has stated all of it has been removed from what they can tell, Alli is still at risk of getting it again. There are medicines she will have to take for the rest of her life.

As a honest loving pet parent, I knew God put this dog in my life for a reason, she is the best dog anyone could EVER ask for. TODAY, Alli has to take a new chemo pill Leukeran along with getting new ultra sounds. She is such a good doll and if her ultra sounds are clear, she can report back to so therapy work! Luckily, we only lack $350 from all prior bills and have raised enough for today's treatment. Thank you for taking the time to read Alli's story.
