We need your help to become a 501c3 charity. That designation will tell our donors that we are a stable, legitimate organization with a clear mission to help orphaned and abandoned children.

Since 2011, a group of friends called the Hogaristas has raised money for the orphanage Amor Para Compartir, which means Love to Share in Spanish. Each March, our group travels at our own expense to deliver donations and visit the children in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. In Mexico, an orphanage is called a "casa hogar", which was the inspiration for our name.

Amor Para Compartir began when its founders discovered children foraging in the city garbage dump. At first the founders Lourdes and Sahid brought sandwiches to the hungry children. Eventually, they founded a private orphanage to help provide a safe environment in which these kids can thrive. Today, 80 kids live and learn in a small inner-city compound staffed completely by volunteers.

Your donation will help pay for the filing of legal documents with the state of Texas and the IRS. Without the 501c3 designation, the Hogaristas are missing out on corporate donations which could help fund food, shelter, medical attention, and education for these kids.
