This Easter I am taking on the challenge of cycling coast to coast in Scotland from Dundee (Discovery Point) to Ardnamurchan peninsula which is the most westerly point of the British mainland, and a cycle ride of 222 miles. My purpose is to raise money for development projects overseas. I will brave whatever the Scottish climate throws at me and push my endurance to the limit so please show your support with your pounds and pennies! All funds raised by the cycle ride will go directly to D.A.R.E’s development projects around the world. I spent last summer at the orphanage in Tanzania, and I know first-hand how much the children there benefit from the support of DARE and the students. D.A.R.E is a student society of Dundee University and stands for ‘Development and Research Expeditions’ and fundraises throughout the year to send money with volunteers to various projects. Every penny raised goes directly to the projects and not to the volunteer’s costs. For more information check out www.daredundee.wordpress.com
