The Amazing Grace Scholarship is being created
by the friends, family, and colleagues of Grace Amelia Webster,
who deeply love her and want to honor her remarkable legacy of
love, strength, and resilience for years to come.
Grace is remembered as a beautiful soul, full of kindness, compassion, and light. She had a spectacular work ethic, a kind spirit, and a smile that lit up every room she entered. Grace was always there for others, lifting them up, cheering them on, and inspiring them through her example of courage and care. She also had an adventurous heart and a deep love for travel. Grace approached every journey with curiosity, joy, and gratitude. Her travels reflected how she lived her life: with openness, empathy, and a desire to connect with people and cultures everywhere she went. |
In the last chapter of her life, Grace shared her wish to give back by helping empower and elevate young girls through education. While time did not allow her to bring that dream to life herself, we are now fulfilling that wish in her honor. The Amazing Grace Scholarship, established through One Girl Can, a Canadian charity that has been providing access to education for girls in underserved communities in Kenya for 17 years, will help make that dream a reality. This scholarship will provide access to education for some of the world’s most vulnerable yet high-potential girls, opening doors that will transform lives, families, and communities for generations. Every scholarship recipient will be personally interviewed to ensure they embody the same qualities that made Grace so special: strength, resilience, and compassion. Each will also learn about Grace and her story so that her legacy continues to inspire those whose lives are changed through her gift of opportunity and empowerment. |  |

to celebrate Grace’s deep love for her daughter Kate and for all
the children whose lives she touched, we also are planning to
build a playground at Ushirika School in Kibera, the largest
informal settlement in Nairobi. Grace found joy and peace in
being outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of nature, and this
playground will reflect that same spirit of freedom, laughter,
and light. It will be a joyful space for children to gather,
play, and connect—a place dedicated to Grace, where her love for
the outdoors and her story will continue to inspire and shine.
