Christy Daus hasn't added a story.
Diane has been fighting cancer since 2010 when she learned she had stage 3 colon cancer (graded as stage 4 in 2012). Since then she has had two major surgeries, bi-weekly and at times weekly chemotherapy, outpatient surgeries, test after test, scan after scan. Here we are 4 years later from her diagnosis and she has just now resigned from her career. Through all of this Diane has worked, continued to show everyone just how strong she is and simply refusing to let cancer keep her down. All who know her know this is simply just who Diane is. Even today, any moment she feels well enough she looks at how SHE can help those around her. I think it is time WE help HER! She will never ask and she will never show how much her financial situation is affecting her ability to be happy and to keep fighting. Since she is no longer able to work she has applied for disability benefits and during the 3 months that takes to go into effect, she has very limited income and will be loosing her medical insurance that was covered by her work. This means less income and higher expenses.
I am not asking anyone to help where help is not deserved. Diane has worked hard each and every day for her entire life. She has had her savings drained and has used all of her resources paying for chemo, surgeries and medications to stay alive. No frivolous spending, not a day on public aid. She has earned every cent she has ever received and then donated to others as she could. She has been involved in building a house for humanity, always offering her services to help anyone anytime no questions asked.
Lets help Diane. Let's help her get through the few months that her income is minimal. Let's all join together to help reduce the financial stress and let Diane focus on what is important- living!!
