Sweet and brave Cory Maksymchuk who is only 7 years old was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer called North American Burkett Lymphoma on March 23rd, 2014.  He is currently undergoing extensive chemotherapy at the Vancouver Children's Hosptial and is estimated to be there for 4-6 months while undergoing chemotherapy treatments.  It is estimated by his doctors that Cory only had cancer for 2 1/2 weeks before it almost took his life. Cory will have to receive about 5 rounds of chemo.  Each round lasts 5-7 days as it is injected by IV into the central lines in his chest and then 3 weeks recovery while they wait for his blood cell count to come back up.  These injections of chemotherapy are very intense because it is recognized as one of the fastest spreading cancers out there so he won't be getting much a break in between treatments.

His mom and dad, Kelly and Terry are by Cory's side in Vancouver and Terry must travel back and forth from Vanouver Children's Hospital to their home in Vernon to work so you can only imagine the financial burden imposed on their family.  This is going to be a long journey and the last thing this family needs to worry about is all of the major expesnes they must incur.  We are very happy to come together as friends, family, classmates, a community or even perfect strangers to allow Kelly and Terry to spend all of their time with Cory and to not have to focus on the financial stress in this very difficult time. ANY amount is such a big help.

Thank you in advance for any and all contributions.  Thank you even more for your prayers, positive thoughts, encouraging comments, love and support for Cory and his family.
