Well, as many of you know my name is Richard Watkins Jr. and I currently work as a Patient Care Tech at one of Metro Atlanta's cancer hospitals. To some degree I'm doing the job that I love and a job I'm pretty good at, but I'm looking to go further and put myself in a place to reach more people. I am a guy that lives to bring a smile to someones face, a chance of hope, a feeling of love, and a message that no matter what you're going through in life everything will be okay. I try my best whether it be at home or work to keep people smiling and the atmosphere light because you never know what the person beside you is going through. Be love in action and the best way for me to do that is through laughter.

I'm the type of guy that hates to ask for anything, but in order to reach your full potential I've learned it's okay to ask for some help sometimes.

What I want is another chance at college... Yes, I had a chance right out of high school but to be honest the things going on in my life at the time had me unfocused enough where I couldn't go to school, work and deal with life in general so I dropped out.

What's different? I have a job that will work around school. I have a job that will reimburse me for the classes I take and life has settled down since being out on my own.

What's stopping me? Right now it's just paying for it at the beginning. I don't qualify for any FAFSA help because my wife and I make to much money (they say). I do qualify for a few loans, but I am trying to leave that as my last option. If I come up with the funds for a few classes then I can just keep rolling it over. When my job pays for classes it will just roll back over to the school so on and so fourth.

Anyways, I looked up "funding for college" and one thing that came up said to set up a fundraiser and to let friends and family know of what you're trying to reach. My fund raising normally is for someone else or a casue close to my heart whether it be Saint Jude Hospital, or Charity Water, but this time I'm asking for help for myself to make me a better person. Thanks!
