Mack is a frenchie we recently took in due to undiagnosed bloody diarrhea. He also has severe rectal prolapse. To date he has seen 3 veterinarians and tried many medications (albon, panacure, flagly, metronizole, endorsorb, etc) to help with the diarrhea. All fecal tests we have run have come back negative. He has now been at the specialty hospital for the last 3 days. He has had ultrasound, and 4 different bloodwork panels, tested negative for cushing, addisons, ELP and B12 deficiency. Ultrasound showed involvement in small and large intestine. He had ER surgery last night to repair severe rectal prolapse. He has seen the internist and the surgeon. They recommend doing further diagnostics, endoscopy with biopsy,  and rectal surgery to fix prolapse with more biopsies. The estimates are endoscopy ($2174-$2559) and rectal repair/biopsy ($2021-$2943). Low end estimate for both procedures is $4195 and high end is $5502. We have already spent over $1400 at the specialist and another $500 at the regular vet. We have elected to pick him up tomorrow and do 1-2 weeks of rimadyl and more panacure to see he improves because we don't have the funds to go further with diagnostics and surgery. Please donate if you can to help us find out what is wrong with Mack and get him better. Thanks!!
