Francine Klemens hasn't added a story.
Need financial assistance for two male dogs to get them neutered, microchipped etc. It's difficult on a waitress' income. My income/tips just barely pay all my utilities & bills.
I've had Prince for almost a year. He just happened upon us one day. Prince is a sweet natured German Shepherd who thinks he's a horse. He will chase around a 55 gallon drum like a horse does. He'll run up to my kitties like he's going to eat them, only to sniff the butts. Something they kitties hate! He's up to date on vaccines but really needs to be neutered & microchipped.
The second dog, I found just this week on my way home from the vet. Almost two years ago I found my beagle, Mandy, not too far from where I found this guy. (on my home from the vet!) While I was at the vet there was info on a lost dog, Charlie. A golden retriever. While driving home, I see a golden retriver run into the ditch. I pull over, what are the odds!? I wait for the traffic to go by & yell, "Charlie! Come here!" He runs over to my truck, & I put him in the back seat. I call the "home again" number & tell them I found Charlie...but, Charlie has been found! I go to my vet to call the local pound, which is closed for renovations & the local sherrif. No reports of a lost golden. I have my vet give him a physical, first shots & a rabies. And make an appointment to have him neutered. I've posted on several websites & checked lost & found, nothing.
Poor guy was starving & so thirsty. He's only 52 lbs but shouls weigh much more. You can feel his hip bones & his mid section is so then. On our way home he busted open the emergency cat food I use just in case I see a stray cat. He ate his first meal like he hadn't eaten in a very long time. Could barely stop drinking water either. He was full of little sticky things from the brush & a bunch of ticks. I put Advantix on him.
He obviously was called something close to Charlie or Riley. My friend suggested Willie or Louie.
We're working on learning to sit. I have to push his butt down, then he gets a treat. He'll get it eventually.
I have a breakdown of the procedures. The procedures will be, neuter, e-collar, pre-anesthetic ISAT, IVcatherization/fluids, pain meds to take home, pre-anesthesia sedation, post op pain relief, anesthesia, clip nails, heatworm test, heatworm preventative, worming, Advantix, microchip. If anyone wants price breakdown. I can post. I have estimate as of now.
(the top left picture is from the first day I found "Charlie." The other two are a couple days after he settled in)
