So here's a little information about my brother Eric. He and his wife Krista Brown are supporting four daughters Cassidy (16) Victoria (8) Alexandra (3) and their newest addition Chloe (1 month). Eric, Krista and the youngest three live in Dallas, TX now. Eric and his family have recently relocated from Miami Florida to Dallas Texas for a new opportunity and to be closer to family. About three months ago he started noticing that he was having trouble with his vision. He went the normal routes and saw the eyeglass doctor who didn't have a lot of answers. After visiting two more doctors and an eye specialist Eric was finally sent for an MRI. The MRI showed a 3 cm x 3 cm mass in his sella turcica that surrounds his pituitary carotid arteries and is compressing his ocular nerves which is what is causing the problems with his eyesight. The first neurosurgeon that Eric went to see told him that in 27 years he has never seen a tumor like this one so Eric was referred to another neurosurgeon that specializes in lower cranial tumors. Eric is now facing two separate brain surgeries to remove the large tumor which can have a recovery time of approximately 6-8 weeks. Unfortunately with the job relocation Eric has only been at his current position for eight months and does not qualify for short term or long-term disability until after the first of the year. Their first thought was to wait until after the first of the year for the surgery the doctor says if we wait much longer Eric could be permanently blind because of the position and the aggressiveness of the tumor. As you can imagine the medical bills have already started piling up and will soon make for a very stressful financial burden on Eric and his family. We are looking to assist and support with the stress and help Eric and his family focus on healing and recovering. Thank you for your Love
