Rob Knowles hasn't added a story.
Hi everyone. On November 10th 2012, my nephew Paul Phillips was involved in a serious car accident. The accident has left Paul tetraplegic (Paralysed from the chest down) Myself & my step-daughter Abbi have decided to do a parachute jump to help raise funds to help make Pauls life a bit easier. After spending 8 long months in, first of all St. Marys Hospital Paddington, then Stanmore Hospital Middlesex, Paul was finally allowed home on 19th July 2013 (his 21st birthday no less!) Obviously Pauls life has changed forever & myself & Abbi really want to do something to try & help in any way we can. Any money we raise from our jump will go towards helping to pay for a specially converted car with wheelchair access so Pauls Mum & Dad (my sister Claire & her husband Keith) can keep his life socially active for days out etc. Those of you that know me will know that my number one fear in life is flying!! What the hell though, we only live once & after witnessing the emotional stress & strains that Paul & his family have been through I'm going to bloody well put that fear to one side & do this with Abbi. Saturday 5th October is our big day so if you are able to donate something then please, please do. Any donation no matter how large or small will be greatly appreciated & will go a long way to helping Paul maintain an active life. Our aim is to raise £1000. Anything we make above this will go towards the counselling that I'll need for the rest of my life after this ;) Many thanks, Rob & Abbi
