On May 20, 2013 an EF5 Tornado struck Moore, Oklahoma. The tornado carved a 17-mile path of destruction destroying multiple schools and unfortunately 24 people were killed, including seven children in the schools.

A good friend of mine, Karen Hillje, an Elementary Computer Teacher, at Patricia J. Blattman Elementary is accepting donations of school supplies, or monies for school supplies for the teachers and students in Moore, Oklahoma impacted by this devastating and tragic incident; so that come Fall semester the Teachers and Students will have plenty of notepads, borders for bulletin boards, stickers, pens, post it notes, basically anything that a lot of teachers usually provide to students out of their own pockets to ensure that the kids have all supplies they need to have a year of successful education. She will purchasing all supplies with the monies donated and driving them up personally, on her own dime, to the Moore School Teachers and Students on the 26th of June...

I asked her why she is doing this? Karen quickly responded, "One of the 3 Blattman Black Bear Beliefs we strive to instill in our kids is SERVICE. I feel passionate that this is an excellent example of service and I look forward to collecting and donating these much needed items to our fellow teachers and students."

Thats Fanatical!

Please help me support her efforts by making a donation of any amount... Lets show the folks of Moore, Ok. how much San Antonians Support Teachers and Public School Education!
