Students from the Student Leader Fellowship Program (SLFP) at Northern Michigan University have opted to utilize their time and resources this Fall 2022 semester to help the Marquette Chapter of Families Against Narcotics build its capacity and support its efforts to end the opioid epidemic.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, life hasn't gotten any easier, and that is especially true for those who may have already been struggling. Struggling with health, mental health, housing costs, and a myriad of other day-to-day issues that we can all experience. In Marquette, Michigan, we have a new resource to help those experiencing opioid addiction and substance misuse to aid them in overcoming their addiction. People cannot get back on their own two feet without support, and Families Against Narcotics (FAN) is an organization where individuals can find the support they need.

We will be holding fundraising events, collecting returnables, doing outreach, and raising funds on this online platform and through FAN's website for the next few months. All funds raised will go to Families Against Narcotics Marquette to build their organizational capacity to be able to better serve our community!

Your donations will aid in making our community a better place by helping people get into recovery programs, stay sober, receive peer support, invest in community education and prevention programs, and become active and productive members of our community.
