Our dear friend Rob Mackenzie recently suffered a brain haemorrhage while on holiday in Sydney. This site has been set up to collect donations from friends to help Bob and his family in any way they might need it.

In late September, Rob collapsed while on holiday in Sydney. He was rushed to hospital where it was discovered he was having a severe brain haemorrhage and was immediately taken into surgery. The doctors were concerned that he wouldn't make it through the operation. Thankfully he did and he was put into an induced coma to aid his recovery.

Rob exceeded all of the health professionals expectations and over the next couple weeks he was taken off ventilation, his sedation was reduced and he was brought out of the coma.

He has gone from strength to strength since then and although his movement and speech are affected very severely, he is making some astonishing progress.

However, the hard work for Rob and his family has only just started. Now that he is out of intensive care, he desperately needs to start rehabilitation - in order to regain his speech and movement. The best place for this to happen is back in the UK where he can get the best treatment available and have the close support of his family and friends.

In order to just be able to fly home, he needs to receive costly, specialist treatment from a rehabilitation centre in Sydney. Once back home, the rehabilitation will need to be continued and this will also put a large financial burden on his family.

Please hit the Donate button and spare what you can so that we can help Rob get the very best care he can - as well as making sure he is surrounded by those who love and care for him.
