4 Years running

Levi was born with a condition called ARM (anorectal malformation). While he had surgeries to repair his anantomy, the functionality did not improve, and he has been silently suffering for five years on a daily basis from the effects of fecal incontinence. We just spent nine days in Columbus, Ohio at Bowel Management Boot Camp, and it has changed our lives and given us a renewed hope. Every night, I give Levi an enema (an hour long process) which allows him to be "clean" for 24 hours, until the next one. Dr. Marc Levitt and his amazing team of angels would like to operate on Levi this October in three different areas of his body to increase his quality of life. Dr. Levitt will install something called a Malone Cecostomy in Levi's navel which will become the port for the enema. This will replace the daily anal enemas. Dr. Levitt will also repair his anus, which due to scar tissue, is not large enough, his rectum which is misplaced from a previous surgery, and repair his abdominal scar. The date is set for October 6th and we will need to stay for at least 8 days. We will then need to return one month later, for a check-up. Further trips will be necessary to eventually help Levi become self sufficient, and hopefully continent. That is the ultimate goal.

As a single mom and a HS teacher, I struggle to make ends meet when all is normal. I am asking for your financial help, so that I can give Levi the best quality of life possible. I have been trying to do it on my own for the past five years, and now I know that I need to get humble, and ask for your help. All monies earned will be used for Levi's benefit and I will keep his page updated for you all to follow our journey. You will be witness to his spirit of perserverance, and the light of God which so apparantly radiates from his heart and face. May God's light shine on all of you reading this, and may you pass this message forward if you feel it in your heart to help a five year old boy who has suffered enough from the consequences of not getting the proper treatment. Many thanks to all the angels who have entered our life, and have helped us begin this incredible and faithful adventure.
