Case:

On July 21st, Tony and Sarah Taylor were charged with felonies for allegations that transpired on July 18th.

Tony was charged with Posessing a Dangerous Weapon in a Courthouse (Minnesota Statute: 609.66.1g(a)(1)).

Sarah was charged with Disarming a Peace Officer (Minnesota Statute: 609.504.2).

From Tony's Charging Documents:

[redacted] there are signs posted in multiple places out.side and inside the building that say guns are banned on the premises. Finally, police indicated that when a permit to carry a firearm is sent to an individual, the individual is also provided a court order listing locations in the State where guns are prohibited, regardless of permit status. One of those locations is Minneapolis City Hall. Defendant was arrested.

From Sarah's Charging Documents:

Police approached Defendant, and as an officer touched the back of her left arm, bent over, and asked her to step into the hallway, she exploded from her chair, and started yelling "Get your hands off me. Don't you touch me." The officer grabbed her arm, and told her she needed to go down the hall with the officer.

[redacted] The officer stayed near Defendant as she got out of her chair. As she got up, Defendant spun, faced the officer, reached into his waist area, and the officer felt a tug at his right side.

Taylor's Position:

Both Tony and Sarah maintain their complete innocence in this matter.  While they are represented by counsel at this time, they have now incurred thousands of dollars of debt concerning this matter and have no idea what continued financial hardships lie ahead.
