Sheila and Paul are doing a skydive for Great Hounds in Need, a charity who help abused and neglected hounds.

(Whoever survives promises to post videos if one of us ends up doing a Wile E. Coyote)

Why hounds?

You see, sighthounds in Ireland aren't considered pets. People need to realised that these are the sweetest, most loving (possibly laziest) and playful dogs.

But to most people, they're livestock, good only for running and running and running, and then when they can't run anymore, they either get sent to pounds, or abandoned on the side of the road, or worse. There's a 75% kill rate for hounds in Irish pounds.

And that's where this charity steps in. They focus on the most abused breed of dog in this country. They come into contact with astonishing cruelty on a day-to-day basis: dogs who are ill, severely emaciated, abandoned, emotionally crippled, or have been physically abused.

Although we would love to take in as many dogs as possible, what GHIN really need now is funds. So we're jumping out of a plane. Eeep. We hope you'll support us, and them. We're paying for the skydive ourselves, so any money you donate goes straight to the charity. It's what Batman would want. Batman
