As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child".

I don't usually ask for help. But when my children's future is on the line I have to do all I can to help them make it. So, I am reaching out to all my fellow villagers to help out in any way they can.

My daughter, Kiah, is a Sophomore at The University of Iowa. She has been awarded some finiancial aid and has earned a few scholarships as well. But she still has a balance that is preventing her from attending her spring term.

Kiah has always been a driven student and has earned good grades. She graduated 7th in her 8th grade graduation class and 37th in her high school class.

She has always been very goal oriented. From Girl Scouts, to a menber of Zeta Phi Beta, to dance, acting, etc. She is always finding new things to explore. And somehow she succeeds at it all.

Since she has been at The University of Iowa she has joined the dance club, Circle K, pledged Zeta Phi Beta and taken on a work study job in the cafeteria.

Being her mother has been a true experience. I am amazed at the young lady she has grown into.

Her total bill for the spring term is over $6000. All of that does not need to be paid right now. However, $2000 is due as soon as possible for her to be able to register for the spring term.

My husband and I will continue to support her as best we can. But, right now we do not have the needed funds.

We will be very grateful for any donation you are able to bless her with, no matter how big or how small.

Please help  Kiah continue her college education.
