Suzanna Chipman hasn't added a story.
In 2009, Loki was found by an Animal Control Officer patrolling a local State Park. She found a cardboard box left on a picnic table in a camp ground. As she approached the box she could hear small shallow whimpering. Inside the box, she found eight frail little bodies. They were cold, scared, malnourished and confused. There had been a severe thunderstorm the night before while they spent the night in that cardboard box so they were wet and shivering. Knowing that they would be surely put down if taken to County, she broke with protocal to give them a chance at life. She immediately grabbed the box up and rushed them to the vet. The pups were dried off, fed them and their frail little bodies tended to. The vet examined the eight frail little souls and said they couldn’t be any older than 5 weeks old and doubted any of them would survive the night. Everything was done to make them comfortable and everyone prayed for their survival. While drying them off, the Animal Control officer picked up one of those precious little babies, looked into his eyes and saw him pleading for help; his little soul begging to be saved. At that faithful moment a loving, forever bond was formed; that puppy now known as Loki so touched the AC officer that she immediately became his Granny (Cheryl). Loki survived although two of his siblings weren't as lucky. Loki's remaining siblings were adopted out to good homes. Loki was given to Cheryl's son as a birthday present, but DON'T TELL LOKI that - in his heart, he will always be Granny's "Big Lugnut."
Today, we are asking for your help. This precious baby needs our help. A lump has been found on his hip. He has been to the vet and it needs to be removed to determine if it is malignant or not. Would you please help us get Loki the medical care he needs. He through his FaceBook page Loki and Granny touch hundreds of people daily with their posts, now they need our help.
Thank you for your support!
