One of the drawbacks to pulling dogs from Rowan County, NC Animal Control was the lack of pledges being honored.  One of the primary Rowan Co volunteers, Rachel Lambert, recently started her own organization Rowan Rescues to find foster homes for these animals pulled.  Rowan Rescues has agreed to begin running Fundrazrs for individual dogs at Rowan County to promote them to rescues.  Currently, as a result of pledges not being honored, some rescues are reluctant to work with Rowan as they end up with significant costs that were supposed to be covered.

The hitch to the plan is that Rowan Rescues needs $500 to apply for the 501(c)3 (not-for-profit) status to offer this Fundrazr option.  Because Rachel is always reaching into her own pocket to take care of the Rowan dogs, she does not have this money.  We are asking that you consider donating to this cause, one that will be instrumental in saving the lives of many Rowan Co dogs in the future!
