Support TEAM RIDE to GIVE and TEAM BOOM as they compete in Ironman Lake Placid on Sunday, July 27, 2014.

I am 33 year old Upstate New York native currently residing in West Hartford, CT. I grew up in Saratoga Springs, NY and spent my summers in the Adironacks so competing in the Lake Placid IM seemed only natural.  I got the tri "bug" after watching my younger brother compete in the 2011 Ironman Lake Placid. I finished my 1st IM in 2012 and I'll be competing in my 2nd in 2014.

My wife, Molly and I have been married for close to 7 years. We have 2 amazing boys - Matthew (2.5 yrs old) and Benjamin (born September 2013).  My wife and I have been blessed with 2 beautiful and healthy children. Molly and I have followed the story of Nolan Thomas Green and his inspiring family on facebook. Nolan Thomas was born on January 8, 2013 at 10:29 a.m. 7lbs 13oz, 22 inches. The Green family was blessed with this beautiful baby boy. The following afternoon (Jan 9th) Nolan had his first seizure that was witnessed by his parents. He was transported to UConn Medical Center's Neonatal Intensive Care unit where an MRI showed Nolan experienced a Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) Injury.  HIE is a condition in which the brain does not receive enough oxygen. I am competing in the Ironman Lake Placid to raise money for Team Ride to Give and Nolan Thomas and his family.

Please go to Nolan's facebook page to find out more about his incredible story.
