Aubrie Mae Folse was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation Grade 1, on April 17th, 2013. On July 24th, 2013, her mother and grandmother were given the results of her last MRI from July 18th, stating that her brain fluids are being restricted by the size of the Chiari in her head. Chiari malformations occur in the region where the brain and spinal cord join. The lower portions of the brain (cerebellar and/or brainstem) are located lower than normal, penetrating out of the skull or protruding into the spinal canal. Some of the symptoms that Aubrie has been dealing with since birth are headaches/migraines, what the doctor said was growing pains but are now being called spasms in the arms and legs, choking, speech problems and memory problems. We are setting up a FundRazr account because on August 22nd, 2013 she will be taken into surgery for a decompression in an attempt to fix the Chiari and hopefully not cause any more issues with her. The money raised from the FundRazr will be paying for a room at the Brent House Hotel at Oschners Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana so she can always have her mother, father and grandmother by her side. This will also cover food for the 4-5 days that she will be hospitalized, stuff to keep her busy and gas back and forth for the surgery then any future doctor's visits.

Thank you all for any help that you may provide to our family during this time of need!
