Equipping adults and young people to redefine, transform, and reimagine thriving Digital Wellbeing Communities.
Why
While digital technology has revolutionized our lives, excessive social media and device use is a contributor to a disruption of healthy adolescent development, the surge in children's mental health challenges, and a rise in loneliness. These generation-defining issues cannot be ignored. We are on a mission to change the trajectory of technology-inflicted harms to young people and to redefine, transform, and reimagine thriving Digital Wellbeing Communities.

Where
We’re based in Minneapolis, MN. We successfully passed the first Digital Wellbeing Bill in the nation in 2021 that provided 1 million dollars to LiveMore ScreenLess to advance four projects: an online resource library, a network of organizations, training and professional development for educators, and youth engagement and education. During this time, we were a direct - service organization learning and piloting our approach and services. From 2021-2023, we engaged with students and/or educators in the following schools
Anoka Hennepin
Best Buy Tech Center at Capri Theater
Cretin Derham Hall HS
Edison HS (Minneapois)
Faribault High School
Hopkins North Jr High
Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg
Minnehaha Academy
Mounds Park Academy
Osseo HS
Prior Lake
Rogers HS
Roseville HS
South HS (Minneapolis)
Two Rivers High School
Washburn HS (Minneapolis)
Wayzata HS
After not receiving another round of state funding, our organization restructured and shifted from direct-service to equipping adults - educators, youth workers and young people - to redefine, transform, and reimagine thriving Digital Wellbeing Communities.
In 2024, we received a grant from MDE and Google.org to equip and evaluate our Digital Wellbeing Certification Secondary Library Media Specialists - expanding their Digital Literacy tools to include Digital Wellbeing. Currently, we’re certifying Secondary Library Media Specialists in the following schools:
Central HS (St. Paul)
Cretin-Derham Hall
Dover-Eyota
Edina
Hopkins
Wellstone International High School (Mpls)
Minnehaha Academy
Minnetonka HS
Moorhead MS
Mounds Park Academy
Mounds View
Pequot Lakes
Roseville
Shakopee HS/MS
St. Charles
The American Cooperative School of Tunisia
Washington Tech Magnet School (St. Paul)
Ulen-Hitterdal
Wrenshall
W e are also continuing our Whole School framework through partnerships at Two Rivers High School and Prior Lake Middle Schools. Two Rivers High School successfully revised their device use policy after investment in LiveMore ScreenLess’ Digital Wellbeing Excellence action plan. They continue to engage with students through their Digital Wellbeing Club, who are bringing the Digital Wellbeing conversations to 5th graders.
Our data reveals:
- Educators recommend LiveMore ScreenLess workshops/trainings to their colleagues
- Our trainings build adult empathy toward young people
- Young people are not being inviting by adults into conversations about how technology and digital media makes them feel
- Young people gain agency and voice when invited into Digital Wellbeing Facilitated conversations
We continue to equip individual adults working in education and school health to provide our Digital Wellbeing Training and Certification and we are in the early stages of training college students and summer camp staff as Digital Wellbeing facilitators.
