... That institutional change isn't just going to happen from the top down... rather, it must be led by and for the people...
... And that change must start from within. Because if we don't heal the underlying wounds that fuel fear, hate, injustice, and harm - we'll simply be building new systems that replicate trauma and violence again... and again... and again.
Healing Cycles of Harm (HCH) is a grassroots community healing program that helps disrupt vicious cycles of interpersonal and systemic trauma and violence.
Over 9 sessions, participants join together to:
- bear witness to each other's sorrows and strengths
- discover our inherent power to heal
- practice compassionate accountability for self and others - and
- plant the seeds for individual and collective transformation
A collaboration between Gratitude Alliance + Reclaiming Our Own Transcendence (RooT) - HCH is
launching its 4th and 5th cohorts this summer - to respond to the
urgent need for supportive, BIPOC and White affinity
spaces to connect, reflect, and heal in community.
Your support will help us provide low cost, sliding scale
tuition to folks who need this work the most - while supporting
equitable labor for our facilitators, who represent queer, trans, and
BIPOC communities.

This work is led by and for folks who have survived,
caused, and enabled harm -- and those who find themselves
in cycles of physical and emotional violence and who want to explore
and heal the ways in which our wounds fuel harm to ourselves and others.
