CALLING ON ANGELS!
The Holidays are not such exciting times for everyone. Homeless
Christmas Trees #SANTACAUSE is a 10-day digital fundraiser, with
artist Skid Robot to together as a community make the holidays less
cold and dark for the homeless people in the City of Angels.
Skid Robot is an anonymous artist among the streets of Skidrow
who creates a dialogue for a solution to extreme poverty through art.

Homeless Christmas Trees #Santacause is a collaborative arts project helmed by Skid Robot to help make the upcoming Holidays less cold and dark and more festive for the homeless people who live in our city by “planting” Christmas Trees he will graffiti around various homeless communities.
The goal is to call attention to our homeless and to create a
dialogue for extreme poverty by providing art and activating people
to donate Holiday Gift Bags to those in need, who reside on the
streets of LA.
The team will be “planting” Christmas trees in the city the weeks prior to The Holidays.
Generous Angels are called to action, through this 10-day
digital fundraiser, to gift essential items so that Santa Cause can
deliver these items the homeless people on Christmas
Eve.
Donation gifts such as the most-needed necessities like toothbrushes, socks, soap, and pet food will be placed in the Holiday Gift Bags under Skid’s painted Homeless Christmas Trees.
Why Is This Project Important?
Homelessness in Los Angeles has become more and more of a crisis over the last six years, and the numbers don’t lie. Since 2012, the numbers have swelled by 75%. The problem has become so overwhelming that voters have agreed to increase taxation by $4.6 billion in order to build the housing necessary to alleviate the epidemic. As it currently stands, the city is in the bottom percentile for homeless sheltering. Through this project we hope to help as many people as possible have a warmer Holiday.

Skid Robot is an anonymous artist among the streets of Skid Row who creates a dialogue for a solution to extreme poverty through his art. Skid Row contains one of the largest stable populations (between 5,000 and 8,000) of homeless people in the United States.
