Hi - I will be participating in "Bowling for Bucks" for Stocks in the Future's Fun Fitness for Finance. On November 15th I'll join a bowling team and give it my all for the kids in our program.

I have been the Executive Director of this organization for over five years and I'm very proud to work with a dedicated board, staff, teachers and volunteers. Together, we help middle school students learn to invest in the stock market and also learn the importance of investing in themselves by coming to school and doing the best they can academically.

Stocks in the Future (SIF) aims to bring financial literacy to the Baltimore community by starting with our kids. We provide materials to local middle school teachers who in turn teach their students about finance and investing through a multitude of ways. Possibly most notably, however, our students are able to gain experience investing in and trading stocks with real money which they are then able to cash in on once they turn 18 or graduate from high school. 

 

The purpose of the Fun Fitness for Finance is two-fold : first and foremost, to raise money for SIF and thereby the future of Baltimore's youth, and secondly, to promote fitness within our company and community. In previous years we have had board members and friends participate in the Baltimore Run Festival as part of an SIF team, but this year we are expanding on that and hosting in addition a bowling event in late November for board members and friends and family.
