Florida Dachshund Rescue hasn't added a story.
Florida Dachshund Rescue got an emergency call today about a 1-2 year old Doxie that was hit by a Ford F-150 truck. He was brought to the Sarasota Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center where they found he had a microchip. But when they called the owner, they said he gets out all the time, she has 5 kids, can't afford the dog and doesn't want him back. FLDR immediately stepped up and said we would take him! They did x-rays and found out he has at least 10 fractures, including a broken pelvis. They said he is lucky to be alive.
The Doxie will be going to our specialist, Dr. Hay of Veterinary Surgical Specialists, for evaluation tomorrow. He may need several surgeries and many weeks of recovery time to heal and be able to walk properly again.
We want to give this Doxie (to be named soon) every chance to at the life he deserves. Will you help us fund his care to get him healthy?
Thank you in advance for your donations and support for this little boy and helping us keep our promise to help him.
