                                            -Spreading Worthiness Project-

My Mission

My name is Jennifer McClure and I created the Spreading Worthiness Project to help the homeless. My goal is to donate bags filled with snacks and toiltetires to those in need while spreading the message that everyone, no matter what you've been through, has limitless potential. I want people to know that they are vauled and that others care. I want them to know that there is always hope. I want people to know that, no matter what, they are always worthy of the desires of their hearts. I need help raising $1,700 to provide 100 gift bags for the homeless. Each bag will contain at least 17 items, a list of community resources, and several words of encouragement designed to inspire people to remember how loved they are. I will also be collecting non-perishable food items, bottled water, and other things that may be useful to those without a dependable living arrangement. Feel free to dontate either money or the items listed. You can see a list of the things that will be included in the gift bags below. Please help me raise money to help those in need and inspire positive change in the world.

Facts on Homelessness

Homelessness in America is an increasing epidemic plaguing many Americans from all walks of life. Each year more people of every age, ethnicity, and religion are faced with homelessness. In 2011 the national poverty rate rose to 15% of the entire U.S. population. 1 in 7 people were at risk of suffering from hunger and an additional 3.5 million people were forced to sleep in parks, under bridges, in shelters, or in cars.

Who is homeless?

  • 35% of the homeless population are families with children
  • 30% are victims of domestic violence
  • 25% are children under the age of 18 years old
  • 23% are U.S. military veterans
