An active duty Army Special Forces Soldier that was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio where the probabilities of success are diminished everyday due to high crime and high school drop out rates. Growing up in Dayton, Ohio was challenging as a young male. I faced many influences that pushed me towards the street life. If I would have made the choice of violence and drugs it may have gotten me killed or landed me in prison.

Despite my environment, influences, and various challenges through GOD I was able to beat the odds and take a leap of faith and CHOSE MY CHANGE! I want every child and adult to know that if they want CHANGE then they have to choose it and pursue it no matter what it may be!

I am riding to encourage and inspire youth; there are alternative routes. Rather you make a choice to join the military, college, or cycling! You need a willing heart and the fortitude to want to be difference.

“If you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, if you can’t crawl then cycle! But whatever you do never stop and never quit!” Modified from MLK (Lamar Estridge 2013). With that being said, I refuse to give up on what I set out to do because of some ignorant people! The initial plan was to travel to Dayton, Ohio and back logging 1700 miles before the 8th of August. The Change will be to do the same distance locally in Northwest Florida/Alabama area. I will post videos and pictures of my daily ride as I still break boundaries and stretch limits. If you are interested in join me for the ride (even if it’s for a smaller portion of the ride) or would like to hand off a bottle water as I ride by please inbox me. I plan to restart on Sunday July 27, 2014.

The purpose of this ride is to raise money for the Crestview Community Cycling Club and Crayons to Classrooms in Dayton, Ohio. Each of these organizations are non-profit organizations that are designed to help their communities through education, fitness, and school supplies. Donations of all dollar amounts are welcomed.
