The Columbus State University Trombone Ensemble has been invited to participate in the SliderAsia Trombone Festival in Hong Kong this summer.  One of many study abroad opportunities through CSU’s Center for International Education, this course will give the students an opportunity to perform as a featured ensemble at the Festival, and study with renown faculty including Denson Paul Pollard of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and the Juilliard School, and renown trombonist and teacher Alex Iles.  The students will leave the US on July 4, 2014 and will return on July 14. The ensemble and the study abroad course are led by CSU’s Professor of Trombone, Dr. Bradley Palmer.

We need to raise $12,000 to cover the cost of the trip for the students, and we need your help!  Contributors at or above the $25 level will receive a copy of the CSU Trombone Ensemble’s new CD “A Beautiful Noise” just released by Summit Records. Every little bit will help these bright and talented students share an experience of a lifetime!
