My 2 year old daughter, Aubree Page, (almost 3) is now old enough to understand that special things happen on holidays. I am a married/single Mommy to a beautiful, smart and loving daughter. I say married/single because I am seperated, (soon-to-be divorced) from her Daddy due to domestic violence.

I struggle daily with mental health issues that are severe enough to have me receiving SSI income. My income barely gets me through each month.

I am raising my daughter as a single parent since her Daddy has made the choice to just throw us both away by not getting help for a problem he won't admit he has. My daughter was only 6 weeks old the last time her Daddy got to see and hold her. Before, and after, my daughter was born her Daddy never provided one cent to help me raise her. He refuses to pay any child support. This makes it very hard on me financially to give my daughter something special during the holidays.

I understand that the holidays are not just about receiving gifts, and I plan on instilling that understanding in my daughter. It's just that, now that she is old enough to know that holidays are special days, that I'd like to, for the first time, be able to get her a special gift.

My SSI income is preventing me from being able to share this bit of joy every child should be able to experience. I know times are hard for everyone right now and I'm not asking for much. I'd just like to feel like, for once, I don't have to worry that I can't afford something for my daughter. It's your choice to give or not. No hard feelings to those who can't or choose not to.

I worry that maybe I'm doing the wrong thing by asking for a little financial help. But then I imagine what my daughter's face would look like when she sees a gift, or two, just for her under her little tree. Any amount that you are able to spare will be greatly appreciated. 100% of what is donated for her will go only to her. I will even share photos of what your donation helped to provide for my daughter. I will be forever greatful and thankful for what you help us out with. Please help Aubree enjoy a special gift this year.

Thank you.
