Kennedy Krieger Sports Park for Special Needs Kids

Kennedy Krieger Institute, Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation and the Basebook Baseball Social Network have partnered to raise funds to build special needs youth a high quality baseball field with supporting facilities.
Did You Know?

- There are over 300 students at Kennedy Krieger Institute's Greenspring Campus
including the High School Career and Technology Center and the LEAP program
(Lifeskills Education for Students with Autism and other Pervasive Behavioral

- The Kennedy Krieger High School is a co-educational, non-public special
education day program serving students age 14-21. Our students come from
many Maryland school districts, Washington DC, and other states as well.

- Over 200 student athletes participate in the programs offered by the Bennett
Institute for Physically Challenged Sports at Kennedy Krieger Institute, a
therapeutic sports and recreational program for children with varying degrees of
physical abilities.

- Because of Kennedy Krieger's participation in many different intercollegiate
activities, many students will use this new sports park with disabilities from many
different schools.
