The Stomach Cancer James has is Called Esophageal Cancer and the Liver Cancer is just Liver cancer it is the Stomach that is making things spread .. I will not even let them try and tell me How long they think he has to live because he is going to live forever .. James is 42 years old and has been sick with a disease called sarcoidosis for a little over 4 years .. He has been in and out of the hospital for his stomach for months. His first stay in the Hospital was August 1, 2012 being told it was his gallbladder or appendix, only to be told 3 days later he had a fatty liver (that now has Stage 4 Cancer). Then again in October he was put in ICU. He was told then that his blood work was showing abnormality's but they thought he had an infection in his body only again to have him go home in 3 days telling him he looks okay .. We then went to his new Dr. who ordered a GI so off to Chico we went on October 11th for more tests. On October 24th we were told James had Stomach Cancer. They were not sure how bad so we needed to go back in to determine what kind and maybe a Stage. November 1, 2012 we were told for sure it was Stomach Cancer but his Liver looked bad also so we needed to get that tested. November 13th he had the test on his liver. November 16th we were told it was Stomach and Liver Cancer, both Stage 4 and that is when she(James Dr.) admitted him into Mercy Medical Center Hospital and that night they started Chemo for 6 long days. They like to do it every 28 days but they are being very aggressive so they are having him do it every 14 days right now. Friday, December 7th is when we start another 6 long days of Chemo. James has been in the hospital since Monday, December 3rd with an infection in his body . November 30th we were in the hospital and they gave him platelets. December 5th they gave him a blood transfusion and we are hoping to go home tomorrow, December 6th before we go back on December 7th.
