Every 11 minutes, another family receives the news that their child has an autism spectrum disorder. This really hits home for me, I have a wonderful 5 year old little boy that was diagnosed at 2 1/2 with Aspergers Syndrome. He's wonderful and very high functioning! We started speech therapy straight away and he started talking soon after with the help of his awesome therapist. This year, since we've been so involved in finding ways to help him through his anxiety, we came across a walk that we want to make annual for our family. There is no cure for ASD and no one answer can say how his started, could have been a trigger, his surgery, a shot, we don't know. All we know is we love our little boy and he is a vital part of out lives. Please help with anything you can so these wonderful people at AutismSpeaks.org can continue with research and funding for less fortunate families. Our goal is set high but with help we can get it done! Walk Now for Autism is the annual walk being held on October 14, 2012 for Autism Speaks. We only have a little bit of time left to raise enough money for this years walk, so open your pockets and lets see some giving!
