On March 8, 2026, teams will face off in an exciting round-robin tournament, competing for the championship while raising vital funds for the only Orthodox Jewish day school in central Long Island.

Mercaz Academy is a unique Jewish day school serving students from toddlers through sixth grade in Plainview, at the heart of Long Island. When is the Mercaz Madness tournament?
Sunday, March 9, from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM. Please arrive early for team check-in.
Where does the tournament take place?
Mercaz Academy

Plainview, NY
Who can play?
Anyone age 16 or over may play. Come and have a good
time!
All players must sign a waiver in advance.
How much does it cost to register?
Each team must pay $400 to register, which may be reimbursed
if the team meets or exceeds that amount through
fundraising.
Our website encourages teams to raise
money from family and friends to meet—and exceed—this minimum.
How do I fundraise?

What does each team get?
- Tournament T-shirt
- Teams that raise $1,000 or more will receive a swag bag and our very sincere thanks
- A chance at bragging rights (earned on the court!)
What’s the structure of play?
The tournament will follow a round-robin
format.

How many teams will participate? Is there a registration deadline?
The number of teams is to be
determined.
Registration may close if demand is high.
While no deadline has been set, teams are encouraged to
register early to secure a spot.
What do the winners receive?
In addition to everlasting glory, players on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams will receive trophies and more.
Are spectators allowed?
Yes! Spectators are welcome and
encouraged.
There is no admission charge.
Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely. We plan to offer child-friendly
activities at the school during parts of the
tournament.

Yes, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.
