Building An Early Learning Center
Eighty percent (80%) of a child's brain is formed by the age of three. The Reedley Public Library is here to serve our city by creating an Early Learning Center. An Early Learning Center (or ELC for short) is an interactive space for adults and children designed to build healthy minds and working skills in our children.
An Early Learning Center features blocks, puzzles, mazes, books (of course!), drawing resources, and interactive play. The five values of the ELC are talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing. These resources and activities provide a rich environment where children can experience with adults rich interactions increasing their language capacity and other important cognitive and motor skill developments.
