This scholarship fund is for first-generation college-bound students at University High School and will help them attend summer educational programs throughout the world.

Growing up, I didn't travel much and quite frankly, that served as motivation during tough times. I aspired to be in a position where I'd be able to travel the globe one day. I've always had a genuine curiosity about the world around me.

The first time I really spent time away from my home town was the summer between my junior and senior year of high school. I was fortunate enough to receive scholarships to attend the Wharton Sports Business Academy and the Economics for Leaders Conference at Cornell. This was a game changer for me.

I was exposed to environments and cultures that I could not experience by google searching. I was able to build networks from every corner of the country and, for the first time, I felt like I was leveling my own playing field; travel scholarships made this possible for me.

After these life changing experiences, I promised myself that I would one day develop a way to give students the opportunities to pursue summer educational programs that also allowed them to explore the world. I wanted to ensure that cost wouldn't be a barrier for 1st generation, low-income students like myself.

Please consider donating to this scholarship fund. Your contributions and support will directly enable students to attend summer programs throughout the country!
