Glen Quait was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in the year 2000.  He was admitted to the hospital in April, 2013, a month after his wife fractured her spine trying to help reposition him in his wheelchair.  He was deemed ineligible for a nursing home and denied entry to complex continuing care on the basis that they were not able to meet his medication needs.  He was finally discharged home to his family on December 23, 2014.

Glen is in the end stage of his disease and the cost of his needs are expensive.  He requires two person, 24/7 care.  7.5 hours per day of care are covered by the government however the family has to come up with the cost of the rest as well as pay for other items not covered by any health plan.  His wife, who is a cancer survivor, has severe spinal problems which makes her unable to give him the kind of physical care that he needs.

Please help this family continue to be able to care for Glen so that he can remain at home.

No donation is too small and any help is greatly appreciated.
