When I met Quincy in the shelter, I fell in love with this pint sized bundle of joy.  He is a happy, friendly fellow that loves everyone he meets.  I saw his face a few weeks later on the euthanasia list and my heart sank.  I knew we had to find a spot for this little guy so that we could come to his rescue.

Last week his foster mom noticed a change in his gait and it seemed like he was in pain when he walked.  This was around the same time that Quincy had an approved adopter who wanted to make him a part of his family.

Before we could let Quincy go to his new home, we wanted to get him checked out to make sure nothing was wrong.  We never adopt a dog out that is sick or injured.

Quincy was examined and x-rayed by our vet and we were shocked at what we saw.  Our vet believes that at some point earlier in his life, Quincy was hit by a car causing this injury to his hip.  Over time, it healed some on it's own and he was able to walk without limping, but during play has now aggrivated this old injury.  In order for Quincy to live a long, happy and pain-free life, he absolutely must have surgery to fix his hip joint.  This is a lengthy surgery that unfortunately isn't a cheap one, but with your help, we can make Quincy's dream of finally having his own home come true.  If everyone could donate just a few dollars, we would be forever grateful and so would Quincy!
