This story is so touching. Johanna is a member of the church in Ypacarai, Paraguay. She has three kids, two boys and one girl. She's 27 years old. Both her and her husband have been infected with the HIV virus. She is very sick. Since they can't work anymore, they don't have money for all the medicine they need, which is very expensive. Not only that, she lives very far from the city and she often doesn't have enough money for a bus ticket to go to the hospital when she's feeling too sick. None of their kids are infected, which is near miraculous. The weather in Paraguay is very humid and cold these months, and houses there are not at all prepared for cold climate, as many of you know. Therefore, these two parents who run a high fever almost every day and their three young kids (Valentin, 6 y.o., Librada, 4 y.o., and Santino, 1 y.o.) are suffering extremely. The father's goal is to buy a used lawn mower to work around the neighborhood and provide for his family. They have been surviving thanks to family members and the church, but they desperately need some sort of steady income to support the children. Johanna can barely move, she is going through many health complications, but her husband feels slightly stronger to work.
